West highland terrier puppies12/28/2023 With years of experience, and a sterling reputation, we will provide you with the perfect pet needed to make your home complete. If you are looking for West Highland White Terrier puppies for sale, then there is not a better option than breeder Arrowhead Acres. My main goal as a breeder has been to produce healthy, happy, well tempered Westie puppies for loving companions. I have placed several puppies in show homes throughout the years. I do not show myself although I do produce puppies with show potential. I have concentrated on health and temperament issues, but I have also strived to follow the conformation standard of AKC for the Westie breed. I have devoted the last twenty-five years to improving my bloodlines. I decided I wanted to make these terrific little terrier dogs available to the general population. These little guys and girls would fit perfectly into a family with or without children or pets. Westies are for the active or the couch-potato, for apartment dwelling or country living. I felt in my heart of hearts this was the ideal dog for most of the human race, except for the persons not willing to train and discipline. This was the beginning of Autumn Acres later to become Arrowhead Acres. She was loving, affectionate and brave of heart, full of kisses and adoration. Sprite’s small size and non-shedding coat made her the ideal dog. When traveling with horses, boats and ATVs, her confidence and intelligence allowed her to keep up with our standard poodle and sheltie. This little female, we named Sprite, was content to be in our laps or just in our presence during our quiet evenings at home. In 1992 the love of our lives was picked from a litter of eight little “polar bear like” puppies. In the first few weeks of ownership we were all hooked because we were amazed at this smart little dog with such a big dog attitude. We were lovers of larger, intelligent, athletic breeds, due to my two daughters love of horses, dogs and outdoor activities. It was a wonderful chance of fate! Although I owned my own grooming shop and was grooming several Westies, we knew little about the breed except for the breed name and group. I hope that makes sense. You think I’m far too wonderful to criticize or judge I want each puppy owner to find his or her perfect puppy-whether it's one of my puppies or not. I hope my last statement makes sense to you-because that philosophy is what I keep in the forefront of my mind as I'm talking to my potential puppy homes. However, all breeders know that no puppy is truly perfect, but each puppy is perfect for someone. I also sincerely want to have beautiful, healthy, well-tempered puppies because I know that they make the best pets, and I know that they make their owners proud. I want my puppies happy, and I sincerely care that each puppy finds the right home. A bad fit is not good for the puppy owner or the puppy, and I'm simply not willing to do that to my puppy. Also, I have not allowed some homes to adopt a puppy from me because I knew that it would not be a good fit. I do not want them to be surprised by anything. As a result, I ask my potential puppy owners a lot of questions, and once they have selected their puppy, I try to disclose anything about that puppy which they might not like. Over the years, I have only had three people tell me that they were not completely happy with their puppy, and those words discouraged and hurt me more than years and years and years of happy families sending me their stories and pictures of sheer joy. Granted, I am not perfect, but I sure do try. To me, the true mark of a good breeder is possessing a heart which truly wants his or her forever homes to be absolutely thrilled with their puppy.
